Who Should Take This Course?

Healthcare Professionals

Healthcare providers throughout Sacramento enroll in ACLS, BLS, and PALS courses to meet employment requirements, maintain professional credentials, and strengthen their emergency response skills. Whether working in hospitals, outpatient clinics, surgical centers, or long-term care facilities, professionals such as nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, physician assistants, and allied healthcare staff benefit from training that focuses on evidence-based emergency care, effective communication, and coordinated team response during critical situations.

EMS and First Responders

Emergency personnel rely on advanced training to make quick, informed decisions when responding to life-threatening situations. These courses are well suited for EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, rescue personnel, and emergency transport teams who need to assess patients rapidly and provide immediate care. Participants develop skills in CPR, airway management, cardiovascular emergency response, and team-based interventions that help improve outcomes in both pre-hospital and emergency settings.

Healthcare Students and Trainees

Students preparing for careers in healthcare often need certification before beginning clinical rotations, internships, or hands-on patient care experiences. Nursing students, medical students, dental trainees, paramedic students, and individuals enrolled in allied health programs can use these courses to build a strong foundation in life-saving techniques. The training helps bridge the gap between classroom instruction and real-world patient care while preparing students for the responsibilities they will encounter in clinical environments.

Workplace and Community Personnel

Many organizations encourage employees to receive life-support training so they can respond confidently during workplace emergencies. Teachers, childcare providers, fitness professionals, coaches, security personnel, and workplace safety staff can benefit from learning how to recognize and respond to cardiac arrest, choking incidents, and breathing emergencies. These skills contribute to a safer environment and help ensure a faster response when emergencies occur before professional medical help arrives.

I was initially hesitant to use the Voice-Assisted Manikin (VAM) for the skills portion but it's always good to try new tech. The experience was awesome. The VAM provides real-time feedback on your performance, and probably a finer accuracy compared to an instructor observing and giving feedback. The process for booking with CPR VAM was easy. I booked on the weekend. Only few steps: 1) make a profile online before arriving. 2) an email provides the codes for entering the building and office. 3) log-in and start the exam 4) receive your ecard via email shortly after. Great experience and this tech is definitely the way to refine your skills and build more confidence. I highly recommend booking with CPR VAM, so give it a try!

The directions and process was easy to follow although I had difficulty with the two person cpr. For some reason my hand position I had for the 60 was now not good enough. I was given directions and adjusted my position , I was then able to pass. I believe I was coming in on an angle And it was more the downward pressure I needed . Child cpr was easily completed Still all completed in 30 min. I like this much better than in a class!
Response from the owner:Eric, thank you for the detailed feedback. We’re glad the directions and process were clear and that the adjustment helped you pass the two person CPR. It’s great to hear child CPR went smoothly and you completed everything in about 30 minutes. We appreciate that this format worked better for you.
